37th Annual WELS North Atlantic District Labor Day Retreat!

The 2008 WELS Labor Day Retreat will be held in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts August 30 through September 1st.  The retreat is one of the few opportunities available to share fellowship with pastors and WELS members from the northern parts of the US and southern Canada as well as study the bible and enjoy sports, recreation and relaxation.

As every year, attendees may select from among many interesting and  educational seminars. The discussions are lively and open to discussion.  There are  concurrent programs for children and teens, with their interests and needs in mind. Camping is in cabins with indoor plumbing and lights. All meals are included, though you can bring snacks or what ever you like. The camp has outstanding recreational facilities including heated pool and lake activities, tennis, basketball, and baseball. Outdoor worship, conducted in both Spanish and English, is held on Sunday morning overlooking the beautiful lake with choir and Sunday School participating.  A very uplifting experience!

For the past few years, a bulletin board system has been available for the use of those interested in the retreat.  We hope you find this a nice vehicle to communicate with your retreat friends as well as continue valuable discussion about the topics after they are presented.  There are a number of features for the Forums. A few of them are:

• Moderated and Private forums.

• Email notification when a reply is posted to your topic.

• Can email other members messages, AIM, ICQ, or Yahoo Messenger.
